Pakistan Super League -PSL is a great initiative to support competitive Pakistani cricket and the T20 matches. It not only provides opportunities to the cricket board of Pakistan (PCB) but also to the cricketers, fans, sponsors and media to generate benefit from it. Pakistan Super League is quite different from the normal T20 leagues because it helps in developing sustainable cricket and delivers a positive image of Pakistan all over the world.
Pakistan Super League -PSL Format
Pakistan Super League, inspired from the IPL (Indian Premiere League), follows a similar format in the current February 2016 T20 matches taking place in Qatar. However, this league is set to be the biggest as PCB has endeavored to make it one of the most famous T20 series in cricket featuring the local as well as international talent together with entertainment stars supporting different teams.
Participating Teams of Pakistan Super League
This year’s Pakistan Super League consists of five teams: Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Lahore and Peshawar. The players were selected not on the basis of their residence but on the basis of their talent. A total of 24 matches will take place with every team player twice with the other.
Players from foreign teams like Australia, England, West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Ireland are taking part in the league. Every team comprises of a minimum of 12 foreign and local players chosen through a ballot.

- Wahab Riaz of Peshawar Zalmi team has mesmerized the crowd and all his fans by being the highest wicket taker so far in the league with a total of 12 wickets.
- Umar Akmal of Lahore Qalandars, one of the shining Pakistani batsman, with his total individual score of 93 runs against Quetta Gladiators has made the highest score so far.
- On the other hand, the best bowling figure in the league is Ravi Bopara of Karachi Kings who took 6 wickets for 16 runs.

With the exceptional performances observed throughout the league the two teams that have made it to the finals are Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators. The teams are all set to battle on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
