ZTE has signed an MoU with United Mobile for the manufacturing and selling of  3G and 4G smartphones, terminal devices, and AMP at the local level. Federal Secretary of Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Sohail Rajut said that the current government has put its efforts into exporting the services and technology and has been successful so far.

He was addressing the MoU signing ceremony, between ZTE and United Mobile for manufacturing smartphones and other devices, the Federal Secretary suggested policies for stakeholders for increased investment and exports.

CEO of ZTE Pakistan Li Guewen pointed out opportunities and massive potential in the local market of Pakistan for further technological ventures and investments. He thanked and congratulated the Federal Secretary of IT and telecommunication for providing doors to foreign investors and stakeholders to take part in the technology revolution in Pakistan.

MOITT Omar, Member Telecom, and Director Wireless Jahanzeb also addressed the ceremony.

United Mobile will introduce a wide range of smartphones in Pakistan according to the Mobile Device Manufacturing (MDM) policy,2021. Not only smartphones but ZTE terminal devices including Internet of Things devices and accessories will also be manufactured in the local market.
